I would like to translate our website into German. When that is done, how do we add this to our website without messing anything up. A great example is http://www.pricecanyon.com/lodging.php?pid=rates&lang=de . Does this hurt our Google searches?

Kinsey,

After our phone conversation here is what I did.

Google offers Google Translate and I have found a very sleek resource that will allow a simple dropdown to be included in your site.

I have added this to http://www.chicobasicranch.com under the Search Feature

Like I mentioned on the phone, we will need to convert your Navigation from Images to Text to get the navigation to translate as well. I will send you sample of this next week.

Here is what is looks like and how it works:

The code I used is, and I added this to the Ad Banner tool to allow propagation on all pages:

<div align="center" id="google_translate_element"></div>
<script>
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
  new google.translate.TranslateElement({
    pageLanguage: 'en'
  }, 'google_translate_element');
}
</script>
<script src="http://translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>

Thank you,

ILGM Support Team
